Getting started in five minutes

Add your child with just a first name, pick a subject and a level, and play a first activity. No account, no password and no email address needed.

Add your child

Open the home page and look for the card called "Add your first child". Type your child's first name or a nickname and, if you like, their year of birth (for example 2019). Then press "Add child".

There is nothing to sign up for. No email address and no password are asked for, and the name does not have to be real: a nickname works just as well. You can add as many children as you like, for instance several siblings or a whole class.

The year of birth is optional. If you give it, the site works out a suitable grade for you. If you leave it out, the profile simply shows "No grade set" and you can still choose any level yourself. You can add the year later from the Parent Area.

Choose a subject

Once a child is added, the home page lists the subjects. Mathematics is the one available to practise today, and the other subjects are marked as coming soon. Press "Start practising" on Mathematics.

Each child can also pick a small picture of their own: tap the round avatar next to their name and choose one. It helps young children recognise their own profile on a shared device.

Pick a level, a topic and an activity

Mathematics is organised the way a school year is. First you choose a level, from Kindergarten up to Grade 5, with an optional Grade 6 for those who want to look ahead. Inside a level you find topics such as number sense, operations, time or shapes. Each topic holds several skills, and each skill has one or more activities.

For a first try, the simplest path is to follow the level suggested for your child's age and pick any skill that looks fun. Short games with instant feedback work better than one long first session, so stop whenever your child has had enough. The "Activity" and "Syllabus" tabs show the same material in two ways: playable tiles, or a map of what the level covers.

Come back later

Your child's profile and results stay on your device, in your browser, so the next visit starts where the last one stopped. To change who is playing, press "Who's learning?" at the top of the page and pick another child. The Parent Area, found in the menu, shows progress and lets you save a copy of it.

Because everything is kept in the browser, it is worth reading how to save and move progress before you rely on it for a long time.
